Purpose of (Woom' en) Moves

(Woom'en)n Moves is borne out of the development of (Woom'en)n a multi-media multi-faceted project that examines the origins of women’s identity in search of a more authentic self. Through interviews, workshops, and performances I have had the privilege of interacting with over 200 women.

(Woom'en)n Moves grew out of the need expressed by participants wishing for away to continue the experience of awareness built through the project and remain connected to a growing community of women who are in and active place of transformation. The title (Woom'en)n Moves takes the phonetic spelling of women as a way to reference definition and “Moves” to activate the idea of the definition of women as something that in itself is active. The current definition still has words like servitude, to bare, and unselfish, that keeps the idea of women stagnant. (Woom'en)n Moves becomes a place of reexamination, invention, networking, creativity, useful independence, creative commerce, and self definition. (Woom'en)n Moves embraces the concept of the experience of living and becoming woman as borne in each woman’s own unique voice, while drawing from the sharing of Women to Woman. With this new addition of the project (Woom'en)n Moves is more than and exercise of art but a way to creatively address living and community building. In this way (Woom'en)nMoves is empowering.

**(Woom'en)n the “e” should be upside down. Any ideas of how to flip the “e” so it is user friendly in all of computer land? If so please post your ideas your assistance is appreciated.
